Stay current, stay secure with Microsoft security

12/05/2021 – 11.30 am

What will you learn

The recent Exchange 0-day attack orchestrated by the Chinese sponsored nation state community HAFNIUM showed that it’s crucial to have organizations’ systems up-to-date. HAFNIUM leveraged some vulnerabilities in Exchange Servers to breach customers’ environments. Microsoft immediately released different Cumulative Updates to remediate the weaknesses.

As often, these type of cumulative security updates for all types of services and solutions require pre-requisites, that’s why it’s crucial that you “stay current” so you can act fast, but also reduce by default possible exploits for attackers. Having a clear process to patch systems is no luxury and the option of vulnerability scanning should be obvious. It’s always better to prevent, but at the same time make sure you are not blind to detect and respond to malicious activities.
